Restore facial volume!
What is Sculptra?
Sculptra is a bio stimulatory injectable comprised of poly-L-lactic acid that helps to restore facial volume gradually. When injected it stimulates your own skin’s natural ability to produce collagen slowly over time. Over several months, the poly-L-lactic acid is biodegraded and replaced with a meshwork of new collagen. Treatment areas may include, temples, cheeks, nasolabial folds, and jawline. Most initially will require three treatments over a couple of months and then just one treatment annually. Results can last more than two years!
How much is Sculptra?
Sculptra is $650/vial.
The amount of Sculptra one needs varies. Generally speaking, one vial of Sculptra a year is recommended for skin health and more than one vial a year will also help to restore volume. A common treatment plan for those in their 20’s will need 1 vial, 30’s-40’s will need 2-3 vials, 50’s+ will need 3 vials, with the later two only needing that amount initially and then only 1 vial/year to maintain results.
Is it comfortable?
Most find these injections very tolerable and totally worth it! We offer topical agents to help decrease discomfort prior to injections and in addition the fillers themselves have lidocaine in them to also make this a tolerable procedure.
When will I see results?
Many will see results starting 2-3 months after their first treatment but it will take 6-9 months before final result is seen. Sculptra provides gradual results and is not recommended for those who want instant gratification. This is one of those slow and steady procedures that will win the race 🙂
See if it’s right for you
- It is recommended to wait at least 2 weeks (preferably 4 weeks) before or after any illness, vaccination, or dental work (especially routine cleanings) prior to any Sculptra treatment.
- Notify your treatment provider prior to your appointment if you have any history of cold sores.
- Make sure you allow for at least 2 weeks between Sculptra treatments and any big life event like pictures, vacations, etc.
- It is not recommended to get injected on the same day as any facial procedure such as facials, chemical peels, etc as the areas will need to be washed and prepped for injections.
