What is Kybella?

Kybella is an injectable treatment approved to permanently destroy fat cells. Depending on the amount of fat present one to five vials of Kybella may be needed during a single treatment session and multiple treatment sessions may be necessary. The most common area of treatment is the submental fat otherwise known as a ‘double chin’. Treatments can stop once a desired aesthetic goal has been reached.

Scheduling Recommendations

•  Immediately after the injection you will have swelling with possible redness and/or bruising. 
• The swelling will typically get much worse over the first few days after injection, with the majority of it dissipating over 1-2 weeks, and fully resolved typically by 4-6 weeks after injection, so be sure not to schedule any big life events such as weddings, parties, etc. within 4-6 weeks of treatment.
